Has anyone here ever been? Is it worth it?

Every year I think about going but when I start to weigh out the cost and travel I never seem to be able to justify going. I almost went with some friends last year that came back saying that it was absolutely amazing, they even got to meet New Order. Damn. Oh well, maybe this year.

My sister went a year or 2 ago and said it was the best show she had ever seen. It was the year the pixies came back.

It's totally worth it. I went last year, mainly to see NIN and I loved it there.
The highlight might have been New Order performing "Love will tear us apart".
Most music festivals have become really homogenized in my opinion, but not Coachella. A very unique and very exciting annual shindig they've got going on there.

I have a girlfriend from the U.K. who flies in every year to be at Coachella and then flies up here to stay with us...

Whoa! Speaking of Coachella, I just saw that this year's event will be headlined by Tool and motherfuckin' Depeche Mode!

TOOL PERFORMING AT COACHELLA FESTIVAL
Some of you may have heard that TOOL will be headlining the Coachella Festival the last weekend in April. This is now official. I'll have more information about this in the coming days.

Damn. Almost the only two worthwhile bands this year though.

I'm there. And I'm stoked for the following acts/bands:

SIGUR ROS!!!!!
Depeche Mode
Franz Ferdinand
Cat Power
Matt Costa
My Morning Jacket
Imogen Heap
Nine Black Alps
Tool
Massive Attack
James Blunt
Matisyahu
Paul Oakenfold
Coheed and Cambria (yes, I said it)
Digable Planets
Minus the Bear

It's definately on the softer "indie" side, but all in all I think it's a sweet lineup. I can't wait.
