Meh...I'm a fan of the Friday series, but c'mon, those films are hardly cinematic masterpieces. I hate Michael Bay and all that he stands for, but I honestly don't see how he could fuck this franchise up unless he sets the new entry in space or something. Oh, wait a minute...:D

Ha ha! I liked Jason X. Despite the stench of the Sci-Fi channel (and Canadians).
Bay is a turd. So he is going to fuck up the only chance for a good live action Transformers movie and now he is going to lay waste to one of films most beloved anti-heroes. He also produced the 'remake of Texas Chainsaw' and that (other than a few good gore scenes) sucked also.
I am going to go listen to that song about how Pearl Harbor sucked from the Team America soundtrack.

Exactly. He should stick to producing Bruckheimer flicks and leave our beloved franchises alone.

C'mon now. At least we'll get to see more campers get slaughtered! The scene from Jason X where he wraps those two girls up in sleeping bags and slammed them against a tree was his best kill ever.

Second only to the guy in a wheel chair crashing down the steps with a hatchet in his head.

I am holding out on judgement till I see it.

Ehhh... you ask me, the guy is perfectly suited for the position. Let's be honest, Jason X aside, the Fridays have been the same exact movie for the past twenty years. Everything the guy does is cheese and you just don't get much cheesier than the Fridays. Don't get me wrong, they're my favorites of the slasher franchises, but if they're going to keep sequelizing the beast, they have to do something different with it. If it means slow-mo, sweeping crane shots of Jason leaping sideways, chucking hatchets at hip, fashionable teenagers to a bumpin' soundtrack provided by Nelly, then so be it.

I say that they should let someone else give it a shot if they want to. How many of the flicks in the series are worth watching once anyway? Most are throw away entertainment, made to get horror fans' $$ anyway, so what's the difference? I only enjoyed the first three, parts of Jason X, and the Freddy crossover (for the curiosity factor). As far as Hollywood remakes go, Dawn of the Dead, Hills Have Eyes (love those sneak previews) and Chainsaw were very well done, so i'm looking forward to this. It couldn't be any worse than Jason Goes To Hell.

Speaking of Nicolas Cage, just when the fucking hell is Warner Bros. going to release his "Wicker Man" remake(it's been a long wait since they have decided to annouce when to release that film)?! For by all of the rumors and stuff that I've been hearing about that redux,it sounds like it's going to be Cage's personal own "(The) Beguiled".
