Maybe not totally appropriate for a horror forum, but Requiem scared the crap outta me, and Pi was creepy as hell. I have been dying to see what else this guy has up his sleeve.

It is the last movie that genuinely scared me. I was grinding my teeth and gripping my chair. I think they should make that movie mandatory in high school to keep kids off drugs.

I have a friend who considers that scene "hot". I am frightened by him.

This deal bodes well for upcoming Aaronofsky projects. If studios are willing to go this far for the guy, I can't imagine how mind-bendingly awesome The Fountain is going to be. It doesn't look as dark as Requiem is, but all the same, it's looking as abstract as Pi, only with psychedelic special effects.
