Thanks guys, much appreciated! I wish I could say I had the best birthday ever, but I woke up at 4am and then spent the next 26 hours travelling. Along the way at least I was introduced to Firefly and the IT Crowd, as well as catching most of Born To Fight, so it wasn't a totaly loss. :)

No way near as impressive as Ong Bak or Tom Yum Goong...

Scratch that... the near head crushing scene off the truck is amazing!!

I was just shocked at how vicious it was. I was expecting more action FUN like Ong Bak, but was greeted with almost mondo style violence and cruelty. It was really kind of a downer I thought. Not bad, just not what I had in mind.

But the IT Crowd was hilarious at least.

I was really surprised by how violent it was, too, but I took it all in stride. I thought it was a hell of a good time. Great stunts, ridiculous plot and hilariously unintentional comedy (little girl muay thai fighter, the guy with the baby on his back). The jingoism of it all was so high, too. I don't think there were even American action movies in the 80's where one guy ran around with the flag so it wouldn't touch the ground. I had shades of that Simpsons episode where Mel Gibson spears a guy in Supreme Court with the flag pole but I was slightly disappointed when no one got run through with it.
