Post by BILE »

Has anyone played this game yet?If not you absolutely must!!This is one graphic kickass FPS To have been released since Area 51! It's about a dahmpir(half vapmire Half Human)cowboy named Jericho Cross who,in order to break his curse must kill countless undead. The game has two different endings depending on the choices you make while playing the game. :machine:

I've been playing some single player and it's pretty fun.

2 player is ok as well. The only flaw is that if you accidentally shoot your partner in co-op they lose health.

It should because the creator of that game helped with DarkWatch as well.

Looks cool....Just cant justify the $59.99 price tag.

I will wait until the price drops....

That's a great idea because the game is shorter than most would rather have it.

My impressions ....

Post by Drew »

Definitely WAIT til it's in the bargin bin! Thank god for week long rentals!

I'm 2/3rds thru the game .....

THE BAD
---------
- Very limited baddies (like 4 or 5 kinds total - all very predictable/pretty easy)
- Very linear, a rail shooter in places and pretty limited exploration in others.
- GFX are weak, no (480p) progressive scan?? I got HDTV/Wide and it is just sad. (prolly looks better on a regular TV)
- Good vs. Evil vampires?? It tries to implement the good/bad choices like Fable or KOTOR but it's very limited and doesn't seem to effect gameplay much. (havent had to use ANY vampire powers yet on Cowboy difficulty - just finished the Hangtown level)

THE GOOD
-----------
- Even with limited baddies, they are tough to shoot (MANY head shots required) and it is pretty challenging in places.
- The vehicle/horse levels are pretty cool. (even though the horse level is a rail shooter)
- GFX dont make the gameplay, overall it's a fun shooter and if you like the subject matter (vampires, zombies, etc) you will really like it a lot! The "vampire jump" is pretty kick ass.

OVERALL
----------
It attempts to incorporate many aspects of todays popular shooters and action games, but with a very dark twist. The first few levels are the worst but if you push through the later levels are much much better. Again, if you are into the occult/vampires, etc... you WILL like this game! (for a while)

TRY IT! Hollywood Video doesn't carry it (too scary!??), but I found it at Blockbuster in LW and EVT Mall. Thanks for the tip!

Read more about it HERE! or here.

Yeah the choices only effect the last two levels i think. If you want to play a really cool choice/shooter/horror game then i recommend The Suffering. It's older but it has three different endings,i never got the neutral only the good and bad.Rent it for either PS2 or Xbox.

i got this game and expected it to be kickass. what i got, instead, was a shit game that i will never be able to master. i didnt realize that it was a fps, i hate this type of game. the concept of the game is super cool though, i just wish that it was a different type of game.
