Best kill

Post by chemical boy »

So I was watching Freddy V.S. Jason this weekend and I thought to myself damn that scene where he stabs the guy then folds him in half has got to be one of the best kill's I have ever seen.

Which brings me to my question:

What do you guys think is the best kill ever?
What was so bloody, so gorey, so totally outlandish that it made you think damn that was just awsome!

I know this thread will get some good responses
and I look forward to each one
see ya soon

Well, this might not be what you're looking for but the first thing that comes to mind for me is (and here is my spoiler free answer), NOTLD '90 "Another one for the fire." Not bloody, gory or outlandish, but man does it satisfy the "That was awesome" part of your equation. It was exactly what I wanted to see, even before I knew I wanted to see it.

Another that comes to mind is the revenge scene in Irreversible. Big points for pure brutality.

Hmmm...

I would have to give it some thought. The way Capt. Howdy goes out in Strangeland was pretty awesome. The spinning head decap from Sleepy Hollow was pretty great too. As was the Johnny Depp blood fountain from Nightmare on Elm Street.

Hmmm... how 'bout the wall-painting scene in TENEBRAE or the keyhole bit in OPERA?

And while it may be true that we've all seen it a million times out of context, it's going to take a lot more than that to shake PSYCHO out of the tree...

Keyhole in Opera is awesome... as is the opening of Irreversible

I'll throw in two from Zombie... the shark/zombie fight and the splinter thru the eye...

Oh! And the headshot in Maniac... and was it part III of Friday the 13th... with the guy walking on his hands and gets it right down the middle...

And... Quint's death in Jaws or the opening in Jaws...

alright...off the top of my head...some of my favorites...

the aforementioned blood fountain in nightmare on elm street...the "lets get high" scene from nightmare 3...gives me the creeps every time...jason freezing and then smashing the chicks face in jason x...the eye impalement scene in zombie...the guts scene in day of the dead..."choke on them"...heh...the lawnmower scene in dead alive..."partys over"...and lets finish up with something i saw on some sci-fi channel movie, locust the 8th plague or somethign like that...now while it wasnt visually great, the idea itself is pretty twisted...you know the rides at amusment parks that you sit in and they shoot you up in the air...one of those fully loaded with people...gets swarmed by said locusts...just imagine that...trapped on a ride 100 feet in the air...getting eaten by locusts...good stuff...

im sure ill be back with more when i think of them...:dsmoke:

Okay, let's see here.........

The "Welcome to prime time bitch" kill from Nightmare 3. I love that one. I hated that bitch too.

I like the kill in Friday part 6 when Jason gets the paintballers. Whoever played him in that movie was awesome - not as much as Kane Hodder, but still awesome.

And the in House of 1000 Corpses, when Otis shoots the deputy. The way the scene was drug out was really cool.

I still have to say though, my favorite kill of all time is still Jason swinging the sleeping bag against the tree. It's just fucking sweet.

Once again you guys rocked...I totally need to see the whole Elm Street seires now! As well as Friday the 13th I think I saw house of a thousand corpses but I can't remember fuckin ADD lol! And ZXRO I can't believe you have seen strangeland! Dude that's one of my all time Favorites I felt awful when I had to pawn it for food money! But hey I got it back...I love that line where Capitan Howdy states: Using the concept of sick to minimize a disparige draws a vale across a reality which you are in no position to interpret." I hope I spelled some of those words right lol. Can you believe I got that dvd as an extra with Devils Rejects? totally awsome!
I FUCKING LOVE THIS BOARD! YOU GUYS KICK ASS!

Anyhow I gotta go

In the original Friday the 13th where the guy is lying on the bunk bed, Jason grabs his forhead from underneath and shoves an arrow through his neck. It was more or less traumatizing to me. Especially since I saw it in the theater when I was 6.

Just as a side note, do any of you guys know a website where I can get good horror movies at cheap prices? The video store here is kind of a rip off, but then again most stores found in the mall are.
Anyways keep it bloody

That would be one Kevin Bacon who got the arrow thru the throat...

I'll take your Argento and up you a Fulci. I've always been quite partial to the head drill scene from City of the Living Dead and the eyeball splinter in Zombie.

While we're on the topic of drill kills, how about Phantasm 2? I always loved the death scene with the drill sphere that goes in a guy, up through a guy and gets jammed on the way out his mouth.
