This thread hasn't been updated in awhile (and I can't believe I'm the one to do it) but there's some decent deals in the $5 bin at WalMart. I grabbed:

The Lost Boys
The Omen
High Tension
Stephen King's Riding The Bullet
Stephen King's Storm of the Century

There are other King adaptions in there too (Tommyknockers, Thinner, Desperation, etc... ) but I just grabbed the ones I hadn't seen yet. Not sure if they're any good, but I figured for about a buck more than the cost of a rental, they were worth taking a chance on.

Can't believe I have never contributed to this thread as long as its been here. But I've been on a haul lately, picking up some cool deals on older discs along with a few choice new releases so better late than never:)

DVDs:

THE BURNING
CALIGULA: IMPERIAL EDITION
CLASSIC SCI-FI ULTIMATE COLLECTION VOL. 2
CRIMSON
DAREDEVIL: DIRECTOR'S CUT
DEATH PROOF
EROTIC NIGHTS OF THE LIVING DEAD (explicit version) - I saw a crummy Italian-language bootleg of this several years ago and thought it sucked but I thought I would give it a second chance on DVD since it was cheap and in English!
THE FLY: CLASSIC COLLECTION
HALLOWEEN: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION
KILLER BARBYS
OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES
REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS
RITES OF FRANKENSTEIN
STARSHIP TROOPERS (2-disc set)
VOLTRON VOL. 4: RED LION COLLECTION

But my favorite buy lately was the original Wizard Video release of MONSTER HUNTER in the big box....VERY SWEET!!!! I can finally replace my dupe, but this film desperately needs a DVD release here in the States. Anybody know of anyone planning to do so?!?

I was actually hanging out for them to release it with the original Rick Dees theme song intact. For the better part of the last 10 years, all versions have featured a substitute song. Anyway, it was finally restored on the collector's edition release mid-late last year but I was travelling so, y'know... Hope that answers your question, Spaz.

Did I actually present it in the form of a question? Oh, wait, I guess I did.
