Not yet. The dream will be proven when this guy actually shows us dumbass honkeys how its done. It'll be realized when he actually accomplishes what he says he's going to. This man literally has more than double Bush's IQ.

It'll be accomplished if he survives to see the end of the term, from what I've been reading on the freeper sites, there are some serious fuckin crazies out there.

High hopes. This dude better be real. We cant take another greedyass warpig in the white house.

This is such an important moment in American history. I am so proud to be a part of it. I'm proud to be voting FOR a president instead of AGAINST "the other guy". I'm proud to be one of the many to vote the first black president into office. I'm so happy right now.

I wish I had known earlier about the gathering at Grant Park in Chicago because I would have taken tomorrow off and drove the family down there. What a moment in history!

I was watching it at my Mom's and did not expect anything until later tonight, so I walk out to my living room where my Dad is watching it and on the screen "Obama Wins....." and I was like "Wait... WHAT!?"

His true dream will probably never be fully realized, but this would have made MLK a very happy man beyond words.

Very very classy concession speech by McCain. I'm glad he went down the road he did.

I was just going to say something to that effect. Very gracious of him.

But srsly, my faith is alittle more restored in the voting system now...after that shin-nan- a-gins with Florida last time....don't have to kick someones butt.

Great Goddess, I don't even know where to begin.

MLK's dream has come as far as it could have been taken by an advocate for African Americans. The rest is up to us. Unquestionably, everything we thought we knew just changed. While there still may be individuals and pockets of the country with ideals contrary to tolerance and diversity, there are no longer any excuses. It is time, now for us to begin to shift our word choice from the naming to a specific ethnicity to simply "underpriviledged" or not.

Beyond the presidential election, there's the House and the Senate-- a clear demand to distance ourselves from Bush policies. I could just cry with relief.

And beyond all that, there's Senator McCain. What an incredible concession speach. Our country needs to come together, now, in an effort to fix all the stupid broken shit we've spent 8 years amassing. That, right there, is a stand up American.

Wow, Obama's speech right now is amazing. I know there are people "Sure he can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk" (- Ric Flair), but who cares, he can talk right now and thats all he needs to do until he is in office!

McCain's speech was very gracious. It was unfortunate that his supporters kept booing every time he said "Obama", yet when Obama mentioned McCain, his supporters cheered. That right there is a very large part of why I'm so glad tonight went the way it did. It's nice to see that we will have a gracious, peaceful, intelligent and uniting individual at the helm.

Secondly, word. :) I'm glad to have an articulate president.

Today was a good day. Now, all I want is to wake up tomorrow and see that NC went blue, Dino is out and the gay folks can stay legally married in Cali.

I'm so ready for a change.

But the Victor is short lived because he is at the end of the day.

A Politician and I dont give two shits about if he is a Dem.

I just hope he actually walks it and doesn't just talk it. :)

Been Red for too long, time for a change.

Unfortunately, people over here are ready to get the sheets and head to war..

The one major thing I am really happy about is that the Christian control of the White House is now on the outs!!!

:D

Does this mean people can stop bitching about America holding people back from opportunity? :)

Which I hope it does.

Or does the bitching stick just get handed to someone else? LOL

Now for the important issue:

Did San Francisco's measure to rename their sewage treatment plant to the GEORGE W BUGE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT ever pass?
