Chicago, and the State of Illinois has always been governed by super corrupt types. The State has always been a center of organized crime, and along with Massachusets, Louisiana, New York, Nevada and California has a long well documented history of official corruption at every level. The people tolerate it and have gotten so used to it that they continue to elect such obviously corrupt people to office instead of looking at the people who have this bizarre concept of Government by, for and of the people. Such folks are invariably labeled "socialists" or "communists" or "radical liberals" and ruthlessly vilified by the corporate controlled press.
This doesn't surprise me a bit. The timing is interesting though. Considering the Bank of America just took $25 billion of our money and basically pocketed it and Blagojevich made noises about dumping all government buisiness with them after they announced that they were going to keep the money and fuck over every small buisinessman in the country.

I believe he is number 4 in 40 years from Illinois who will be behind bars. Gotta love it. I don't believe timing had anything to do with it, apparently the shitbag has been under investigation for more than 8 weeks, and they busted him before he took the highest bidder and put whomever in Obama's chair. Smart arrest in my opinion. Nip the fucker in the bud before it blooms even deeper in a shitpit.

He's been under Federal investigation for three fucking YEARS. He knew that he was being wiretapped. Thirteen of his cronies have already been indicted and or convicted. This is old school Tammany Hall style corruption. He replaced a Governor thats now serving 6 years in Federal prison for doing similiar shit.
Greed is a well documented pathology. It is a primary symptom of the sociopathic personality. Maybe a way to screen for it should be developed, and then used on anyone who runs for office or applies for a government position of any sort. If they show indications of greed, extreme narcissism, pathological fabrication or extreme self protectionism they should be permanently excluded from holding any position of authority anywhere. They probably should be sterilized while we're at it.
This man is so hated by everyone that he wasn't even allowed a seat on the podium at the Democratic national convention. The ONLY sitting Governor ever to be excluded like that.
