Santana in Vegas

Post by soundguy »

FYI, if you're a fan of Carlos Santana, he just started a TWO YEAR gig as the "house band" at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. I think it's been right around 30 years since I've seen him live. I'm definitely going to check the show out the next time I'm down there. Looks like tickets are $75 to $151. Pretty sure I paid $8.50 to see him and Clapton on the same bill back in the 70's :D

I believe I will be in Vegas at least once maybe twice by year's end it would be cool to see him again. Last time I saw him was for free in a raft at some lil outdoor venue in Eugene Oregon. . . . Of course that was before he made it big with his Supernatural CD. :D

I was just surfing the HRH site...man, rooms are EXPENSIVE!! Even in this economic climate they are asking for an arm and a leg.

We're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Aug. 6 - 9 to see Judas Priest at Thomas Mac on the 8th. :D

I saw that Santana was playing, and was excited, but the dates are May 27 - June 14, and Aug. 26 - Sept. 9 so we won't get to see him play.

But we are going to hit up the Rehab pool party on Sunday after the Priest show. We got a good deal on the internet. If you stay 3 or more days this summer and book online, you get 30% off.
