Peta hasn't given a goddamn thing a "good name", ever so.....they don't do anything other than "represent" from what I've seen. You either align yourself with or you differentiate substantially.

What was stupid to me is when PETA recently wanted a demonstration at a convention that was to represent the fish tossers at the market to use "rubber fish". WTF. THE FUCKING fish are DEAD. They could care less I'm sure to be tossed after being on ICE for fuck sake.
STUPID.
They are detracting from the whole point to stop and prevent the REAL abuse of animals.
Assholes. What a waste of a organization that could really not make themselves look stupid.

You know, I'm also in the catch and release program, and I also was mildly bothered at the swatting. I think, though, that the thing that bothered me more was that it made headlines on CNN. "President Swats Fly" or something like that. Really. I wonder -- did he also take a dump? Can we find out if he turned on the fan afterwards? Oh! And did he have a sammich for lunch? I support the sammich platform! We need another sammich-eaterer in office. A sammich on every plate! When I run for office, that'll be MY platform. Yup.

I saw the interview with the main lady on the news. You could tell the newscasters weren't really enjoying the interview. She seems like an old woman with nothing else better to do, than go from town to town and make the news.....
