Soundgarden reunites in 2010

Post by AchimbaProphet »

Yes. Soundgarden are reuniting. As reported on their social networking sites:

"The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.com"

I am interested in what they will do. New music or just a new tour? I am concerned that Chris cannot handle most of Soundgarden's catalog any longer. In recent years his voice has degraded so much. He is just never going to be able to nail his high pitched stuff again. Age does that though and I can not hold it against him. I will see them when they appear and will accept it for what it is. I have dozens of loved songs that I would love to see performed anew.

Robert Plant was a teenager when LZ recorded it's first album. About 2 years after Stairway was released, he admitted that he could no longer hit the high notes reliably in live performance.

It happens. Should still be interesting.

Too bad they just couldn't keep it together, while Chris just tried some other projects and avenue's out. First Audioslave record was cool, but most everything he's done after, I can ignore. IDK, maybe they should just leave Soundgarden alone and ALL just move on. Not sure anything worthwhile will come from this.

A reunion tour would be cool but I don't think they have another great album in them as a collective. They quit with no bad albums and I would hate to see them ruin that legacy.

Big deal. :o

I have never liked "grunge," and Soundgarden was the most boring concert I ever attended. I only went because my daughter and her friends wanted to see the show.

Chris Cornell is a hottie, though. :devildoll

Haha! My thoughts exactly. Infact, I'm already waiting for it to be over. We couldn't get away from them then and I see no need to be slathered again now. Please Jebus, don't let Hurl Slam hop on the literal band wagon too! YUK!

Of course they won't be the same. But I for one can't wait to see how it goes. Don't worry about Chris losing that top octove. Lots of great singers adapt.

ZZ Top can still kick out awesome live shows and they're old as dirt. And if you haven't seen ZZ Top live then don't even open your fucking mouth.

Soundgarden died away before I moved up here. Never my thing. But everyone needs a paycheck!

Speaking of which, many bands in Seattle are 'tribute' bands that make their money off these bands that are no more. I wonder how reunions like this affects their benjamins?
Take a picture, trick. I'm on a boat, bitch.
