health care shit that passed

Post by LIVE FO RETSINIM »

so someone explain it to me. I know that there are probably only like 3 people if that in the world that read the entire thing, but what is going to happen now?

I heard we are going to have to all get health care now? What?

we MUST buy health care?

Does anyone understand any of this? All the news shows is people arguing and expressing themselves over the "issue", no one actually talking about the "issue".

Basically, how fucked are we now?

The bill is flawed, but is better than nothing, I think. I am just pissed off about abortion coverage being left out of it. I'd be honored to have my tax money go toward such a noble cause.

Like Vish said, the bill isn't perfect, but I believe a lot of good will come from it. It will stop a lot of the bullshit that insurance companies pull today. I think its good to be required to buy coverage. I'm sick of paying for the healthcare of the uninsured. Healthcare is everyone's problem, and everyone should pay for it.

But why is everyone paying the insurance companies for it? Seems like a crazy windfall for those pigs. Take a look at one left-wing socialist commie critique:

contradiction? you will just be paying way more than before.

Jody, you have until 2014 until they will lock youup for not buying into this shit. Don't worry, if you have it through employment the cost will only go up a shit ton but you will only notice it in your paycheck, no big deal. Remember, uncle sam knows what is best for you and your money!!

On what do you base that claim? Just because Rush Limbaugh told you that doesn't make it so.

Quoted from the interwebs:
1. Once reform is fully implemented, over 95% of Americans will have health insurance coverage, including 32 million who are currently uninsured.
2. Health insurance companies will no longer be allowed to deny people coverage because of preexisting conditions—or to drop coverage when people become sick.
3. Just like members of Congress, individuals and small businesses who can't afford to purchase insurance on their own will be able to pool together and choose from a variety of competing plans with lower premiums.
4. Reform will cut the federal budget deficit by $138 billion over the next ten years, and a whopping $1.2 trillion in the following ten years.
5. Health care will be more affordable for families and small businesses thanks to new tax credits, subsidies, and other assistance—paid for largely by taxing insurance companies, drug companies, and the very wealthiest Americans.
6. Seniors on Medicare will pay less for their prescription drugs because the legislation closes the "donut hole" gap in existing coverage.
7. By reducing health care costs for employers, reform will create or save more than 2.5 million jobs over the next decade.
8. Medicaid will be expanded to offer health insurance coverage to an additional 16 million low-income people.
9. Instead of losing coverage after they leave home or graduate from college, young adults will be able to remain on their families' insurance plans until age 26.
10. Community health centers would receive an additional $11 billion, doubling the number of patients who can be treated regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.

here is your contradiction Rush! Your own words, you will still be paying for the same shit except at a higher cost, how is that so hard to understand? Are you fucking retarded? Higher taxes equals paying for the same said shit!! The money has to come from somewhere to pay for this $940,000,000,000 bill and where will that be coming from? Your tax dollars along with everyone else who works tax dollars.

You are as ignorant as fucking DF with that calling me names shit, I fucking hate both parties, just one a little more than the other.

A- I never called you any names.
B- I tried to be an asshole to you several weeks ago, and it didn't work. It's not going to work for you either, fuckface.
C- Ummm disregard A. :-)

Who do you think has been paying for the uninsured all along? Me, possibly you (Assuming McDonalds has health benefits), and many others in the form of taxes (Medicaid) and higher insurance bills. Providers have been charging us more to cover their losses from the uninsured. I'm glad to see that EVERYONE will be paying now. That was my point earlier.

If this ends up costing me a little more, I am fine with that. I'm just glad that I won't be hearing of more people, including some that I personally know, who can't get insurance based on a pre-existing condition. I'll be happy to know that I won't be hearing of another of my friends get dropped from insurance when he/she gets cancer. The good outweighs the bad on this, and I think it is worth it.

Besides... Now you'll finally be able to get treatment for those ass herpes that Ryan gave you last summer.

so let me understand this, basically now we are FORCED to pay some insurance company for medical? What company? Who? So hahaha what is the price? I mean this is insanity. Am I wrong here? I thought we were free, now we MUST pay some magic company in the sky?

How much is this gonna cost? hundreds a month like regular insurance? Insurance is like $300 a month.

That was you that gave em to me fucker!!!! orJody, I forget??

Everyone has been paying all along, now it is just forced on people who can't afford it in the first place.

My bitch with this crap is It will cost more for insurance, people are forced to get it whether you can pay for it or not, fined if you can't pay it and possible jail time?? Think that may have been an email hoax, not sure. The senior BS, they will get reimbursed $250 every year for medication?? Lyrica alone costs more than that for a 2 week supply, Arthritis medication.

I think the only reason it passed was because it is Obama in the whitehouse!! If it were anybody else it would have been shut down just like under Clinton. I also think there are more pressing issues on Obama's plate than forcing people to pay for what they can't pay for.

so basically what it comes down to, and what I think I just proved was:

Nobody knows what the fuck this thing is that just passed. Everyone is all caught up in the hype and "ohh I think it is great" or "I feel it is wrong" yet no one actually knows what "it" is.

My other point is this: I would have medical if I could afford it. So now what? How does passing a law saying you must purchase something you cannot afford help our country out? I think everyone would have insurance if they could afford it. Making it mandatory doesn't help this situation out.

It's like living in a world of fuckin morons who can't think 2 steps ahead and get caught up in thier feelings and emotions. I dont' know one thing about the bill but I can tell you how some people feel about it! Which brings up another question, how can everyone have such strict opinions and strong feelings on something they don't even know what it is???

Everyone please joing me in prayer.

Oh Lord, please bring the apocalypse down on these mindless people and just end this reign of stupidity. Just please take away about 5.9 billion of these assholes and let me have what is left. Thank you.

ps, save that cocobutt chick for me too. good night.

It will help the cuntry out by all the fines that will be doled out for not purchasing this shit. For some reason forcing people to buy insurance for "preventative" care is a savior for the over inflated healthcare costs. From what I have read, alot of what is in the bill is ridiculous, but thats my opinion.

heres the bill-http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/Senat ... ontentBody

have fun reading that shit without going blind

At this point, it looks like if health insurance companies can't beat the $700 a year fine, then fuck it right? Take the fine. Land of the free.

No bump in your pay, just get it or be fined! If you can NOT afford it you may be able to get "subsidies" to "help" pay for it, in other words the nation wide sweeping of higher taxes will help you pay for it, hence my bitch about it. NO difference than before except you are being forced to purchase insurance whether you want it or not or can afford it or not. This shit is still being paid by the taxpayers no matter how you look at it.

I'm waiting until next year's employer provided insurance renewal comes up for me. If my benefits don't decrease and the money taken from my check every week doesn't go up by more than 1 or 2 percent (it went up 1.5 percent in January) I wont give much of a shit. Likewise, if I don't see a significant increase in my taxes I am cool with it. I don't mind a small bump, I expect it every year due to new "programs" anyway.

In my opinion this would have happened regardless of who was in office. The corporations pull the strings and will continue to do so whether the face "in charge" is a Democrat, Republican or whatever else.

Ok... so pay the $695 fine each year. That is cheap. If you get sick, then sign up for insurance since they won't be able to deny you because of a pre-existing condition anymore.

If these people are against it, I'm all for it.

Stupid people. They're just stupid, ignorant and selfish. I have yet to have any level of discourse with a teabagger that even approaches the rational and well thought out position on their part on any subject whatsoever. They know absolutely NOTHING about the position they are taking in the discussion. No education at all. I really have a hard time wrapping my mind around that. How is it possible to take a position on a subject, and not know a goddamn thing about it? It boggles the mind.

What it is, is dumbass, uneducated redneck, just like I knew in California when I was a kid. Too many farm chemicals, or refinery chemicals, too much alcohol over too many generations, or maybe something in the water, I just don't know.

All I've seen from this crowd, is a shitload of completely irrational, obviously false rumor mongering type of bullshit rhetoric that would have made Mussolini or Goebbles proud. The propaganda coming out of the Insurance industry and the Hospital industry just fits right in with these peoples predispositions. These morons eat it right up, embellish it to fit their own personal take on the idea, then present it as absolute fact when they can so easily be proven wrong. Then they just reflexively reject what is right there in front of their face when you are trying to be rational and just show them what it is.

These people are STUPID. They pride themselves on their ignorance, wearing it like a medal of honor. Waving their little plastic (made in China) American flags and act like they should be listened to because the BIBLE says they're right.

"I dunno whats good about it, but if Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity says its bad, its gotta be just terrible. That goddamn commie muslim in the white house is gonna turn us into slaves for the government, my preacher said so."

In a Government by the people, of the people, and for the people, why is it such a terrible concept, that the money taken in by the people to maintain their government, be spent ON the people? Why are we listening to the billionaires on the subject of basic survival?

In a world where a man can snap his fingers, and acquire with zero effort, a car that costs a million dollars, how can he understand what its like to have to save up special for a new pair of work boots? When that man can make a phone call and have a private doctor come to his house to look at every little blemish on his skin, how can that man understand what its like to have to take your kid to the emergency room and get a $8000 bill while you're taking home $1600 a month?

No insurance? Tough shit. You shouldn't have had that kid in the first place then if you cant take care of her. You shouldn't be so selfish and irresponsible.

Thats the attitude I see. Its just pure, selfish, nasty asshole. Fuck these nazi sons of bitches. They can take their teabags and their fucking bullshit bibles and shove them up their asses.

dude, NO ONE knows a goddamn thing about this, and yet every single person has their dumb little opinion flying out there. I still have not heard anything but peoples opinions and feelings on this, yet no one can explain one fucking thing.

I saw this little black kid on the news today, (10 bucks says there is a story like this in every major city.. but anyway) so his mom died last year, and he wanted this bill passed and wanted to be with obama when it was signed. The thing is, couldn't his mom just have went out and bought insurance in the first place? What is the difference making it a law? Why didn't she have it before? Was it too expensive maybe?

Stupid propaganda by obama. This little shit can't even vote. He was used as a heart tugger. Fucking you all fell for it. Like I said, I bet you that there is a story just like this in every major city. I have a feeling this isnt' going to be everything it's cracked up to be. You watch.

It already is putting us ALL $700 in debt right off the bat at minimium. We all just lost $700 a year, to what? and to who? Where is this money going? I want answers and I want them now.

ok i just watched that little tea party video and you know what? let me tel lyou something:

I do not have insurance. I went to the walk in clinic the other week, talked to a Dr. and then a few days later I had some test run. I am playing $400 for this.

Why did I need insurance for this? How did that cost "everyone"? I am paying for it. That bullshit about emergency room costing everyone money is BULLSHIT. What the fuck? That is thier job. It doesn't cost anymore if someone with no insurance comes in than if someone that has it.

Fuck people are fucking stupid. You all agree with this? yikes.

Actually, if you would have had insurance, that bill would have probably cost around $25, or even nothing. My old plan had a co-pay of $30 for walk in service. It cost $400 a month, but it handled the major costs of a lot of shit.

But it went up every six months. Ten years ago, I was paying about $50 a month for health insurance.

Without insurance, if you got into a car wreck, and needed an ambulance, trauma care, and a hospital stay of a couple days, your bill would probably be around $100,000. The ambulance ride alone will cost a minimum of around $2000. Even if you had the wreck right in front of the hospital. Now think about that, in terms of not being able to work for two or three months after you got out. You think your boss is gonna keep paying that insurance if you're not in the place to pay your half? What if you were out of work when it happened? What if the wreck made it impossible to do your job for the rest of your life?

What if you needed several months of physical therapy on top of all that? Followup surgeries to correct problems that come up?

My brother had his appendix out last year. The surgery used one of those little flexible optical tube things, went in through his asshole, and left no incision. He had no health insurance. His bill was $22,000. For an hour emergency surgery and a night in the hospital.

Now, back to the car wreck. Say you go back to work, and your boss decides that you can't do your job well enough so he lays you off. So you go get another job. The boss tries to get you health insurance through his plan. The Insurance company sees that you've had a major trauma in your history, and still require care from that. They will refuse to offer you insurance, and they deny you coverage based on the fact that you have an injury that occurred before you tried to buy their plan.

Right now, insurance companies are refusing to pay for bills in any case, even if you had paid them for years before you used their system. They can drop you. Just refuse to pay out even with shit they cover in their contract. There are people all over the country who are out of pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars for medical bills, because their health insurance provider flat refused to pay the bills. Medical bills are the number one cause of personal bankruptcies in this country. They can deny you coverage based on a pre-existing condition like hepatitis, or diabetes, or a heart condition.

This is what the Democrats have tried to correct. Unfortunately, they let the insurance companies write most of the bill, so its probably crap in any case. But its something. This ain't over yet.

As for that little black kid, his mother was refused medical care by her insurance company when she got sick. She lost her job because she couldn't work because she was sick, and then she DIED.

Seems to me thats enough.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. - Thomas Jefferson
