Thank you, Griff.
I love you, Griff. I just hope you know that.

"I pitched the WB a show where Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny were teenagers, and I was a teenager too, and we were all pirates, but every week we would have different jobs and identities. And they called back and said it was stupid! And that I was stupid too! And let me tell you something. There's nothing stupid about a teenage rabbit teaching good hygiene! NOTHING!" - Space Ghost.

Frankie returns
I wasn't exactly bowled over by Fango Film's Children of the Night and Midwarp.(Severed ties was okay)Some lost potential with those. But hell, maybe Frankie still has a couple twisted films left in him, and Fango may let him go wild.

You'd have to expect Frankie would have several hundred twisted ideas for films given the length of time he's been absent from the director's chair. I am certainly looking forward to this one. I wonder what sort of budget and cast he'll get?
Now if someone were to tell me there's a special edition of FRANKENHOOKER coming out with Henenlotter/Lorinz commentary, plus Frank's early short films (and Lorinz's SWIRLY) as bonus material, I too would be filling my pants with shit.

I hear the Dragon DVD of FRANKENHOOKER is uncut... so what's the deal? What's missing from the US version and which version did we get, Jon, any idea? I remember reading in like a Gorezone or Toxic Horror that the MPAA had a few issues with the movie... who woulda thought?
"Divide by pi..."
P.S. Latte, the only Henenlotter character I've possibly inspired would be Aylmer, obviously modelled after my impressive yet strangely grotesque (and witty) manhood.

Yes, the MPAA had problems with FRANKENHOOKER but I can't say for sure exactly what was cut. I think they had issues with the scenes showing people enjoying drug use but they basically just didn't get the joke. The version released down under is fully uncut and rated M. Maybe Frank had a fan in the Oz censorship board since there's been no problems getting the complete versions of his stuff here. In an issue of FATAL VISIONS, Helm's interviews Henenlotter and they discuss the FRANKENHOOKER rating. Remind me to dig it out and pass a copy onto you after I move.
