Anyone catch Rob Zombie's interview with Rue Morgue not too long ago. As regards to House of 1000 Corpses, my suspicions have long been confirmed. Rob Zombie owns distribution rights to the film but Universal still owns the film. If and when a distributor is found, they will have to buy the film from Universal.
Also, in a radio interview he did with KEGL here in Dallas, Rob said that he hoped to get the film released sometime next summer. Just thought I'd pass this along.
At this point, I won't hold my breath. I seriously doubt this film will get a theatrical release. More likely, I think it will go direct-to-video.

as soon as I heard that Universal wouldn't be releasing the movie theatrically and they were looking for distro, I knew... It had the curse of Direct to video.
it'll probably do better business on that medium than it would theatrically anyway.
