Why the hell aren't I notified of these things?!

..to quote the great William Shatner. Image I decided to take one of my very infrequent looks at one of those upcoming horror movie type sites and there was actually some pretty interesting things there that haven't been mentioned here. I'll mention them:

1-Apparently Wes Craven will be doing a remake of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Pulse. Frankly, I didn't care too much for the original and can't imagine that Craven can do any better with it so I probably won't bother with it.

2-ROTLD 4? Apparently there's talk of another sequel, although it sounds like it'll be a big pile of crap if it is made. Also maybe a tv series in the works. Frankly, a zombie tv series of any kind will be enough to get me to order cable again.

3-A movie based on the PC game Nocturne, which was a game that tried to be like a movie, thereby RUINING the game. They should have just made a movie to begin with. Still, other than the poor gameplay, there was a lot I liked about this one so it sounds interesting.

4-A movie is in the works based on Clive Barkers Tortured Souls action figures. I think you guys know I quite liked these, and the story that came with them was very promising, so I really hope they do something good with this. We need more MONSTER movies, imo. However, we don't need this......

5. A remake of Creature From the Black Lagoon. Why can't people just leave well enough alone?!

That was just the stuff mentioned in the past month. Any other good news out there that I missed?

I remember hearing about Romero's big Showtime series that he was planning out to be based on Night of the Living Dead. Thought that would have been cool... then it turned out to be dead in the water. Par for the course when it comes to George.

The American remake of Ring is in production. In a way, I'm curious to see it. Just so I can get an idea of how badly it will be ruined.

Speaking of zombies, RESIDENT EVIL is just about due and it looks like Savini will be directing DEATH ISLAND, gore-soaked zombie movie with some titty action.

This was probably inevitable, though. I just hope the creature's not brought to the screen via crappy cgi effects. This remake isn't as annoying, or pointless, as say, the Psycho one from a few years back. That was stupid
