Fucking awesome, Kim! I saw the trailer for it a few months ago but never thought that it would ever play in the states. I don't know anywhere even remotely near me that plays Bollywood stuff. I at first thought that it would be typically Bollywood and that hallway fight scene would turn into a five minute long one-take song and dance, but I've read on Twitch Film that it is entirely without any musical numbers.

So the twist is entirely different...

And while there's no traditional Bollywood musical dance numbers... there's 3 (least that's what I counted) musical montages... the fried dumpling montage was my favorite one...

Hella funny... and yet I wonder if this is a preview of things to come... meaning the Hollywood remake of it and the whole twist being changed...

It seemed like the experiment leading up to his masterpiece. Sympathy is just as lyrical as Old Boy, but not nearly as polished. It does have all the Chan Wook Park signatures, though.

There's some very clever storytelling going on there.
Finally watched it last night...

LOVED IT! Very heavy movie though... I actually turned it off for about 30min to just take a moment and regroup...
