Back to my roots!!!!!!!!!!

I feeling like it's time that the next material I am working on is going back to the old school.

Time to go back to what I love and what is in my heart...........Hardcore, pure and to the soul Hardcore.

I have a bunch of old material I plan on recording, either solo or with The Braindead. But either way, I have a bunch of new Hardcore material I have been working on. Still have my crossover roots in there, but of course, I can never get rid of my metal influences. :)

But it's time to have fun again. Myself and well I would say a majority of the guys in The Braindead have seemed too have lost touch with just having a good time and doing things to have a good time. We have become to serious about our own causes, our own agenda's and what not. Maybe not everyone but things are a bit stale and well, after our gig at the Oak Harbor Tavern, I just can't go back to boring uptight gigs with uptight boring crowds.

Feels good.....to have a wake up call.

Oh well, felt like sharing that.

Yeah, it will be fun.

I'm also hooking up with one of my underground hero's for a project down the road and he might put some riffs or solo's on the stuff I do which would be damn cool. :D

Looking forward to doing some different stuff.

Oh my!

Yeah, I have a ton of old material from the 80's/90's and current that I want to get done. Songs that never saw the day of light or recorded with The Braindead. So I have some work to do.

yeah man. I've been really itching to do 30-90 second political grind, ala ASSUCK, lately. I could write a whole 20 song album in a few days. Playing what's in your heart is always the most rewarding. There's something to be said for playing all out uncontrolled heavy music that gets a crowd going. Way better than standing on a stage that's 5 feet up, with gay ass stage lights and huge sound system. I want to go back to playing house parties and bring the generator to the river bed to play a kegger.

Maybe we're having a pre-mid life crisis...

No shit, I want to go all the way back to my roots and pump some REAL shit out like "Twinkle Twinkle Little star" or "old McDonald had a farm" ala that little playschool yellow record player thingy. Fuck yeah! I want to get back to the days when you slobber on a orange wooden blocks and fit shaped things into the proper shaped hole. REAL music you shit your pants to, if you know what I mean.

Jonathan, that's the kind of stuff I am working on, along with a few other styles. Just stuff that I wouldn't normally be able to do with The Braindead.

:smoke:

Jody, always the comic. Just not as funny.

Your roots is playing banjo back home in Montana while waiting for strangers to get lost in the woods.

And wouldn’t your roots be playing a flute that looks like a big candy cane while singing songs about mistletoe, reindeer, and general Christmas cheer?? During your off hours when you’re not busy making toys of course.

I just understood what you were saying John. :D

I'm slow, what can I say.

Hey, if you are still down with jamming, let me know a day that will work for you and let's jam.

Peace out

Project is coming together well.

Looks like Hodge, JD Jigalo and Roscoe are going to join me in this venture, along with Mr. Morbid John.

I'm excited about it.
