That is actually from.

http://www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com/

Which isn't an official site.

The official site is the http://www.ibelieveinharveydent.com which then takes you to a WarnerBros domain.

Well I dunno then ha. My friend told me he went to the official site, and if you wait that picture of the Joker pops up, but they took it down after a couple days or somethin.

RAD!!!

I had a cat that had a perfect line down the middle of his face. One side black, the other orange. His name was Harvey Dent. Of course. :dsmoke:

What the fuck are ANY of you talking about in this thread? I don't get it.

I saw the Dark Knight and personally I think Marin Lawrence is better as a Television actor then a movie actor.

That's an official image for marketing. It's clearly photoshopped, but it's out to get everyone stoked for the next movie. It's a genuine indication of The Joker's make up and I, for one, am completely into that shit! One of my favorite Joker renderings was in the Grant Morrison/Dave McKean one-shot Arkham Asylum where he is this twisted, fucked up looking lunatic and that makeup job is on the money.

I am completely confident that this next movie is going to be awesome.

That one looked sick! I knew it looked editted and stuff, but it's a cool sneak peak at what is to come.

"Please, Miss! Two-Face has pissed himself again!"

That was a phenomenal book and Dave McKean one of the best artists ever. It was his absolutely beautiful rendition of the Swamp Thing in the Black Orchid limited series that got me into that character.

There were some new photos posted on Aint It Cool today. Nothing big, but worth a post.

Most likely the Joker's goons

Shitty pic of the Joker being filed in IMAX ratio

Apparently, the Joker's story in this movie is supposed to be similar to the story from The Killing Joke where he's an ordinary guy who had a REALLY bad day.

Killing Joke was the best Joker book ever. It started my obsession with collecting Joker comics (had almost all of them at one time...).

Anyway, I didn't even know they were making a new movie until this thread and now I'm just totally fucking confused. If that shitty pic above is the new joker, what is this awesome pic?

Image

I sincerely hope that final result looks more like this (which in turn is eerily similar to the original inspiration for the character, Conrad Veidt from "The Man Who Laughs".

Hmmm, no one else saw this over the weekend? Hard to believe considering the money it's raking in. Anyway, I went to see it at IMAX last night and thought it was great. Probably one of the best comic book movies yet... (although, assuming they are smart enough to NOT include any Smashing Pumpkins in the actual movie, I'm thinking Watchmen will be tops before it's all said and done. I watched that trailer about 4 times online before going, but seeing it on IMAX...oh man... so good..).

I still don't like this crazy hopped up Batmobile tank thing and while I thought Ledger did a good job, it's still not the Joker I want to see. There were enough twists and traps for a Saw movie. Y'know, a lot of plans that seem to assume things will go a certain way so you have to suspend your disbelief just a bit for that, but it's such a fun ride, it's easy to do. Even the pacing, music and tension during the final act were reminiscent of the tone of the first Saw, imo.

We touched on "The Killing Joke" earlier in this thread and I do tend to think they took some plot devices from there. But they switched the target so that it wasn't really obvious. Also, the Joker's "origin" is told in a similar way to the TKJ. It may be there...or it may not.

Two-Face looked fantastic! I met a guy from a toy company back in February who told me how his transformation would go down (I never thought about it before, but the people in that field must constantly get movies spoiled for them, because they need to see the footage in order to get their products accurate..) and that the effect was brilliant and he wasn't kidding. I think you'll be impressed.

Overall, while I can't say it was worth the $400+ in speeding tickets my friend and I racked up on the way back (hard to believe, but true..), it gets a hearty recommendation from me. Go see it, but go slow....Image
