For those who know Chad (bassist Vulgarizer)

He's in critical care at Valley General. Been there since Saturday from an auto-immune problem. I know there are some people on these forums that know him. So if you want me to get him a message, let me know.

As for the Saturday show with Umbilical and Churchburner. We will either not play it, or we will play it without him and have a collection can there. His mom told me his insurance hadn't kicked in yet from his new job and the bills will be enormous...

Damn, that does suck. Chad's a cool guy. Give him my best, would ya? He's in good hands at Valley though, that's where I spent all my lung time.

Holy shit, that sucks!!!

When did he get diagnosed with that and is he responding to any treatment? Please tell him I'm wishing him well and let me know how I can help if needed.

Kevin, I still have my twin stuffed Llama we got at Valley from your bad lung days. It's now a cat toy.

Without getting into the gory details, he went into the er on Thursday with only 15% of the normal amount of blood in his body. He was admitted to Valley ICU Saturday where he's still at. Some of us are going there tonight to assess the damage and perform some voodoo chicken sacrifices...

Damn. Well, make sure to fling around some rotten carcass for me and take my name in vain while you're there too. :)

Not to be rude or curt, but what the hell happen to the remaining amounts or is that a typo? 15%

I hope he is okay.

His mom said blood was coming out of every orifice. Vomit, everything. They gave him many blood transfusions. He was still yellow tonight, but alert. We got some good pictures...

I thought his mom was mistaken when she said that. Something like 7 pints were used.

So... do they know what his diagnosis is? Those auto-immune disorders can be really, really nasty and next to impossible to treat for long periods of time.

I've been seeing a few at work lately that I wouldn't wish on anyone. ~Well... not on most people anyway. Heh.

Fuck. I sure hope he pulls out of it soon. :(

No. But they moved him out of ICU and into PCU, which is a step below (good) ICU.

My girlfriend talked with the docs and there is no diagnosis yet. But he's stable and watched 24 hours/day. When we were there his vitals looked good. He was joking. Phil and I were hoping that the 7 quarts of blood was j.ew blood so he'd be one of us.... he said it was asian blood because he was now yellow. Makes sense.

He says we should play the show on Saturday without him. So I'll have a collection can out. I know it won't even put a dent in the bills, but at least his mom can get some meals while here. Or give Chad's daughter some help.

Stupid Question~ Do they have enough donors for his blood type? Is he in need of more transfusions? I would be willing to donate blood if it's needed.

I may not be gewish but a little Irish/German never hurt anyone . . .;):D

Brian or Phil will be setting up some sort of paypal dealio. I'm ignorant to that hi-tech mumbo jumbo. I'll post it when they get it.

Jen, he's good with the blood. Gracias. And I guess Brian is the same type as him, O+

Derrek, I'll pass the word on to him.
