Well, you got to see MOTHER OF TEARS, which is more than I did...
I'll grant you your placement of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and there was nothing too exciting about DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?, but I certainly thought THE CARD PLAYER was enjoyable enough.
Top of the list for me would be a damned tie between DEEP RED and TENEBRAE...

My list would be almost identical except that I would put Phenomena behind Tenebre followed by Four Flies On Grey Velvet with Opera behind that.I am 138 wrote:Deep Red

It's hard to say because they're either fairly fresh in my memory or very fuzzy. One thing is for sure, I'm certain about the first two and the last two but all those in between could probably slide on the scale a bit though.

I alternate between which of those I prefer quite frequently. They're such different films, it's almost hard to compare 'em.Latte Thunder wrote:My list would be almost identical except that I would put Phenomena behind Tenebre

My list will be a bit different since I've always LOVED Phenomena and never really took to the "three mothers" stuff. But I think Deep Red has to come first..

I actually don't think I've seen The Five Days of Milan. Totally forgot about it, actually. And yes, I DO like Stendhal Syndrome more than Suspiria. That's not a typo.
I couldn't believe it when I read the other day that someone listed Argento's "Phantom of the Opera" as a good remake. I remember it as one of the worst movies I've ever sat through. Just terrible.

That's not a faulty memory on your part. It is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.DylanDog wrote: I couldn't believe it when I read the other day that someone listed Argento's "Phantom of the Opera" as a good remake. I remember it as one of the worst movies I've ever sat through. Just terrible.
