It's still early in his administration. The first job of any President is Politics.

He's going to fuck the GOP just like they've been doing to the Democrats and the entire country for the last 28 years. Certainly nothing resembling a majority. The GOP is well on its way to becoming another Whig party. You cannot build a consensus on jingoism, hate, scapegoating and greed and expect to get anywhere in this country for very long. A lot of folks are coming to the realization that Reaganomics is a scam, a ponzi scheme that has robbed them of their livelihoods. All it really is, is fascism.
