The vocalist and rythym guitarist from Zimmers Hole are doing the SFX up in B.C. Some of the corpses from their stage show are being used in the movie as well.

It's in production now. I don't know who wrote it, but it went through the hands of a few comic writers. Ronnie Yu is directing last I knew.

and even though I thought Jason X was at least interesting... I can honestly say here that I have no interest in this movie. None.

Oh come on, I gotta believe you'll see this, no matter how stupid it'll probably be. Maybe not opening night, maybe not even in the theatre, but you'll see it......

Zimmers Hole's web site is http://www.legionofflames.com/
They are a Canadian metal band, I don't think there is any movie info there. The FX studio they work for is at http://www.fleshandfantasy.com/ there may be some stuff there, who knows? I just checked and there's nothing, maybe they are doing it on the side or Byron was just wrong when he told me where their stage corpses were the last time I saw them :)

I, for one, really have no interest in this movie. How the fuck are they going to explain Jason being alive this time?

Chris you're joking right? Since when does one look for any sense of logic in a slasher franchise?:) If nothing else, FREDDY VS. JASON will pretend that JASON X never happened. Just as JASON X ignored JASON GOES TO HELL, which in turned pretended that JASON TAKES MANHATTAN never took place and so on and so on......you get the picture. They have always found ways to resurrect him without regards to the previous film and I'm sure they'll do it again.

For the record, I will probably see this just out of curiosity if nothing else. I was pleasantly surprised by JASON X, but I think at this point they are doing nothing more than milking a dead cow. It will be interesting to see how it turns out though seeing as it has been in development hell (pardon the pun) for so long.

quiet man, you'll blow my snotty movie-guy cover!

I suppose I will wind up seeing it, just like I saw Jason X way before it was released, despite the fact that I said the same thing when they were making that one.
