Caught this one last night, an awesome, awesome movie. I'm familiar with the "Madchester" scene of the time so I knew the bands and some of the history behind it.

It's a quasi-hallucinatory recollection of the burgeoning rock scene in Manchester, England from the late 70's to the early 90's. In a lot of ways, it resembles the feel of Velvet Goldmine but uses actual names and likenesses of real personalities of the scene at the time.

I liked it quite a bit.
