BLOODY MOON 1980
Directed by Jess Franco
Cast - Olivia Pascal, Christopher Brugger, Nadja Gerganoff, Alexander Waechter
-
A young guy named Miguel, who has a horribly disfigured face, brutally
hacks up this young woman with a pair of scissors. Five years later, he's released
into the care of his sister Manuella. Along with their wheelchair bound mother,
they operate a boarding school for young woman. Angela (Pascal) is one of the
new students, and is constantly being followed around by the
creepy Miguel. Girls start to turn up missing and nobody believes Angela that
there's a killer on the loose. She had seen the corpse of one girl, and it was
gone as soon as she went for help. Confused and scared, Angela finally looks
for help from the people who run the school.

Jess Franco delivers a violent slasher film that has it's share of flaws.
Why doesn't Angela contact the police? Why do all those air headed broads not
believe Angela? What happened to Miguel, that caused his disfigurement? You'll
never know. See if you can spot the continuity flaw, when Angela discovers the
dead girl in her room. On a positive note, the film does features several topless
females and some impressive gore scenes. One murder has this gal getting a knife
protruding through her nipple, and another one gets decapitated with a band
saw. The film does have a decent multiple death ending too. Recommended viewing
for the slasher crowd and fans of European horror.
