THERE'S NOTHING OUT THERE 1990

A group of teenagers decide to spend spring break, at their friend's
cabin, isolated in the woods. There's three couples and Mike, who's a paranoid
horror fanatic. Mike is convinced that something is wrong, and relies on his
knowledge of horror films, to alert the others. The other teens think he's just
being weird. It just so happens that there actually is a slimy green tentacled
monster lurking in the woods. Once the creature starts bumping off the cast,
the survivors look to Mike for answers. It would appear that this monster has
something special in store for the females, as it has only killed males.

This is an exceptional low budget horror comedy. The concept of having
a well informed character, on horror clichés, predates Wes Craven's SCREAM
by at least six years. It's not often that you'll find a film with a no-name
cast, and a shoe string budget, to be this entertaining. The special effects
are cheap but effective, including some decent gore scenes. Almost every female
cast member has a nude scene, and they're all attractive looking. The story
was written by director Rolfe Kanefsky, who deserves much credit for his effort.
Anyone who has ever watched their fair share of horror movies will be able to
relate to some of the film's characters. Recommended viewing for horror fans
wanting to see an enjoyable spoof.
